Can my gift remain anonymous?

Yes! We appreciate you may prefer to keep your gift anonymous and we will respect your privacy. Contact our Gifts in Wills Officer to discuss your wishes.

Why should I leave a gift to The Kids Research Institute Australia?

For more than 35 years, The Kids Research Institute Australia’s world class researchers have been making life-changing breakthroughs in Western Australia and beyond.

By including a gift to The Kids in your Will, you can be part of ensuring a better future for generations of children to come.

How will my gift be used?

We’re proud to be WA’s largest independent medical research institute and the only one devoted to children. Gifts made in Wills enable the institute to:

  • Attract the brightest, most talented researchers and empower them to do their best work.
  • Be Innovative and bold in scientific ideas that tackle the toughest challenges.
  • Ensure our discoveries make a real difference to kids and families in Australia, and throughout the world.

Your gift will be used to help us discover, prevent, and cure – building a better future for kids and families.

Alternatively, you are most welcome to direct your gift to an area of research close to your heart. Please contact us so that we may ensure your wishes are carried out.

Should I let The Kids Research Institute Australia know if I have made them a beneficiary in my Will?

Yes, please! If you are comfortable doing so, please let us know. This gives us the chance to say thank you, keep you up to date with news and stories from The Kids, and involve you and your family in relevant special events throughout the year.

By letting us know you have included a gift in your Will to The Kids, you will also be welcomed to the Fiona Stanley Circle

Should I seek legal advice when writing my Will?

We strongly recommend seeking legal advice when writing or amending your Will. The clauses suggested on our website are suggestions only and should be tailored to each person’s individual situation. A solicitor or legal representative will be able to advise on this.

I’ve already written my Will. How can I still make a gift to The Kids Research Institute Australia?

If you have already made your Will and do not plan on updating it, making an amendment could be as easy as preparing an appendix to include a gift in your Will to The Kids. However, we do recommend you seek independent professional advice to ensure that any additional wishes are expressed correctly.

Is there a minimum gift amount that I need to include in my Will?

There is no minimum amount expected as every gift supports our vision of happy healthy kids. Even a small gift can make a lasting difference. In fact, leaving a gift in your Will is a great way to support the causes you care about without any current expense.
