Jordeana Howard is a proud Yawuru, Nyul Nyul & Kija woman from the areas of Broome, Beagle Bay & Alice Downs.
She is both eager and diligent with a strong attention to detail to match – attributes making her an outstanding Administration Officer for Kulunga in the Broome office.
Keen to build fundamental skills in business administration, Jordeana will use the awarded STARS funds to complete a Certificate IV in Business through North Regional Tafe. This course will enable her to be trained across a range of routine, administrative and operational tasks, as well as developing a broad range of business skills.
Extremely proud of her family connections, Jordeana wishes to have a long career at the Institute and to be able to travel throughout the Kimberley Region making a difference in Aboriginal health.
This course will enable me to pursue a personal interest in business and develop further skillsets to help the Institute engage and drive Aboriginal health care around the Kimberley region.
STARS provides a flexible and dynamic way to support professional development and capacity building of Aboriginal Staff at The Kids Research Institute Australia. Our community of STARS donors understand the necessity of awards empowering individuals to upskill in the ways that will create the greatest impact for all our communities.
